Tool Assisted Speedruns[]
Tool assisted speedruns (or TASes) are speedruns done using a special emulator that includes tools that help you manipulate the game (especially helpful for RNG). You can do things such as advancing the game frame by frame for extreme precision or loading and creating save states.
